Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Goizee mobile application, website (goizee.com), or any associated services (collectively, the "Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and any additional guidelines or rules applicable to specific features of the Platform.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Platform, whether registered or unregistered ("Users").
Eligibility
To use the Goizee Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your country or region.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under applicable law.
- Not be a person barred from using the services under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- Not have had a Goizee account previously deactivated or suspended for violations of these Terms.
If you are using the Platform on behalf of a business, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Account Registration & Security
3.1 Registration
To access the full functionality of Goizee, you must register an account by providing a valid email address and creating a secure password. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate.
3.2 Account Security
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, including your password. You agree to:
- Immediately notify us at [email protected] of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Ensure you log out of your account at the end of each session.
- Not share your account credentials with any other person.
- Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans.
Goizee will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account credentials.
3.3 One Account Per Person
Each user is permitted to maintain only one personal account. Creating duplicate or secondary accounts to evade suspensions, boost Trust Scores, or engage in fraudulent activities is strictly prohibited.
The Goizee Platform
Goizee is a local peer-to-peer classifieds and marketplace platform that enables individuals and businesses to post, discover, and respond to listings for items, vehicles, real estate, services, and more.
ℹ️ Important: Goizee acts purely as a discovery and connection platform. We are NOT a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. All negotiations, agreements, and payment arrangements occur directly between users.
Our current core features include:
- Browse, search, and filter local listings by category, condition, location radius, and price.
- Post listings with photos, descriptions, pricing, and location details.
- User profile management with Trust Score indicators.
- Push notification delivery for listing updates and platform alerts.
- Location-based listing discovery within a user-defined radius.
Listing Guidelines
5.1 Accuracy and Honesty
All listings posted on Goizee must be honest, accurate, complete, and not misleading. You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have the legal right to sell the item, property, or service described in your listing.
- The item is accurately described, including its condition (new, used, refurbished, etc.).
- The stated price is genuine and not artificially manipulated.
- All photographs uploaded represent the actual item being listed.
- The listed location accurately reflects where the transaction or service will take place.
5.2 Listing Conditions
When selecting a condition for your listing, the following definitions apply:

| Refurbished | Professionally restored or factory-refurbished to working condition. |
| Good | Fully functional with minor cosmetic wear. |
| Fair | Functional with significant cosmetic wear; defects clearly disclosed. |
| Used | General used condition; all functional and cosmetic defects must be disclosed. |
5.3 Category Accuracy
Listings must be placed in the correct category. Deliberately miscategorizing listings to gain visibility or bypass category-specific moderation rules is prohibited.
5.4 Duplicate Listings
Posting identical or substantially similar listings multiple times ("spamming") in order to increase visibility is prohibited. Only one active listing per item or service is permitted at any time.
Prohibited Content & Items
The following types of content, items, and services are strictly prohibited on the Goizee Platform:
Firearms, weapons, ammunition, or components thereof without applicable licensing
Illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
Pornographic, sexually explicit, or adult content of any kind
Explosives, dangerous chemicals, or hazardous materials
Unauthorized gambling, lottery services, or pyramid schemes
Counterfeit currency, fraudulent financial instruments
Pirated software, counterfeit goods, or items infringing intellectual property
Personal data, identity documents, or private information of individuals
Protected or endangered species, illegal wildlife products
Services facilitating harassment, stalking, or harm to individuals
Automated bots, scrapers, or mass-posting scripts
Stolen goods of any kind, regardless of claimed origin
This list is not exhaustive. Goizee reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether any listing or content violates these Terms or applicable laws, and to remove such content without notice.
User Conduct
All users agree to use the Goizee Platform lawfully, respectfully, and in good faith. The following conduct is prohibited:
- Harassment or abuse: Using Goizee to harass, intimidate, threaten, bully, or abuse any other user.
- Fraud: Engaging in price manipulation, false advertising, fake listings, bait-and-switch tactics, or any other deceptive practices.
- Impersonation: Pretending to be another person, business, or Goizee representative.
- Solicitation outside the platform: Using listings or communications to redirect users to competing platforms for the sole purpose of circumventing Goizee.
- Spam: Sending unsolicited commercial messages, chain letters, or repetitive posts.
- Data scraping: Using automated tools to extract, collect, or harvest data from the Platform without express written permission.
- Interference: Attempting to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Platform's servers, systems, or security features.
- Fake reviews: Creating fraudulent reviews, ratings, or Trust Score manipulations for yourself or others.
Images, Media & Intellectual Property Licence
8.1 Uploading Images
By uploading photographs or other media to your listings, you represent that:
- You own the copyright to the images or have explicit permission from the copyright holder to use and publish them.
- The images are not defamatory, obscene, or violate any third-party rights.
- The images accurately depict the item being listed.
8.2 Licence Grant to Goizee
By uploading content to the Platform, you grant Goizee a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform. This licence terminates when your listing is deleted or your account is closed.
8.3 Goizee's Intellectual Property
All trademarks, service marks, logos, platform design, source code, algorithms, and other intellectual property on the Goizee Platform are the exclusive property of Goizee. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent from Goizee.
Location Services
Goizee uses device location data (GPS or manual city input) to power proximity-based listing discovery. By enabling location permissions, you agree that:
- Goizee may access your approximate geographical location while you use the app to surface nearby listings.
- Your precise GPS coordinates are never displayed publicly on any listing. Only approximate city or neighborhood-level location is shown to other users.
- You can use manual location entry at any time without enabling device GPS.
- Location data is used solely for local discovery features and is not sold to third parties.
Transactions Between Users
Goizee provides a platform for buyers and sellers to discover each other. Currently, all transactions, payments, and exchanges are conducted entirely between users, outside of the Goizee Platform.

Goizee strongly recommends that users:
- Meet in safe, public locations when exchanging physical items.
- Inspect items thoroughly before making payment.
- Use trusted payment methods with buyer protection when possible.
- Never make advance payments to unknown sellers without verification.
- Report suspected fraud, scams, or suspicious listings immediately to our support team.
Future Features & Services
Goizee is an evolving platform. The following features are planned or in development and will be subject to additional terms when launched:
- In-App Secure Messaging: Direct buyer-seller communication within the app, including message moderation and spam filters.
- Secure Payment Gateway: Integrated escrow or payment processing with third-party certified payment providers. Service fees may apply.
- Seller Subscription Plans: Optional premium listing upgrades, featured placement, and advanced analytics tools.
- Verified Seller Badges: Identity verification tiers that grant verified status to trusted sellers.
- Ratings and Reviews: Post-transaction buyer and seller ratings to further build Trust Scores.
- Business Accounts: Dedicated accounts for merchants, dealers, and commercial entities with bulk listing tools.
- Delivery & Logistics Integration: Optional shipping and courier service connections for non-local transactions.
- Saved Searches & Alerts: Push notifications triggered by new listings matching a user's saved filters.
Goizee reserves the right to modify, add, or discontinue any feature at any time without prior notice.
Content Moderation, Trust Scores & Enforcement
12.1 Moderation Rights
Goizee reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, monitor, reject, edit, or remove any listing, image, or content that, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, harmful, or illegal. Moderation may be automated, manual, or a combination of both.
12.2 Trust Score System
Goizee maintains a Trust Score system to help the community assess the reliability of sellers. Trust Scores are calculated using factors such as listing history, reported violations, account age, and community interactions. Attempting to artificially manipulate your own or another user's Trust Score is strictly prohibited.
12.3 Reporting
Users may report listings or profiles that they believe violate these Terms by using the in-app report feature or by emailing [email protected]. Goizee will investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
12.4 Enforcement Actions
Upon finding a violation, Goizee may take one or more of the following actions:
- Issue a warning to the user's account.
- Remove or hide the offending listing(s).
- Temporarily suspend the user's account.
- Permanently ban the user's account and device.
- Report the conduct to relevant law enforcement authorities where legally required.
Intellectual Property
All content, software, text, images, logos, UI design, and other materials displayed or made available through the Goizee Platform (excluding User-submitted content) are the exclusive intellectual property of Goizee and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform solely for its intended consumer purposes. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Platform.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Platform.
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
- Resell or sub-licence access to any part of the Platform.
Disclaimers & Warranties
THE GOIZEE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF:
- MERCHANTABILITY or fitness for a particular purpose.
- The accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of any listing, content, or information posted by users.
- Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Platform.
- The quality, safety, or legality of items or services listed by third-party users.
Goizee makes no representations or endorsements regarding any user-generated listings. The inclusion of any listing on our Platform does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by Goizee.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GOIZEE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, SUPPLIERS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages.
- Loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
- Damages arising out of or related to any transaction or interaction between users, including physical meetings, product defects, fraud by other users, or payment disputes.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
- Deletion, corruption, or failure to store any content or communications maintained or transmitted by the Platform.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Goizee and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of or access to the Goizee Platform.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your listings, content, or representations posted on the Platform.
- Your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Any transaction or dispute arising between you and another user.
Account Termination & Suspension
17.1 By Goizee
Goizee reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or harm to other users or the platform community.
17.2 By You
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon account closure, your active listings will be removed. Content may be retained for a limited period as required by applicable law or for fraud prevention purposes.
17.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your licence to use the Platform immediately ceases. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification) shall continue to apply.
Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with Goizee, we strongly encourage you to contact us first at [email protected] so that we can attempt to resolve the issue informally. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
For disputes between buyers and sellers, Goizee may, at its sole discretion and without obligation, provide mediation assistance. However, Goizee is not a party to any user-to-user disputes and cannot compel any resolution.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the operations of Goizee, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the applicable jurisdiction for the resolution of any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
Goizee reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
- Send a push notification or email alert to registered users where required.
Your continued use of the Platform after any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform and may close your account.
